From Vonzo, on path n. 325, starts the climb to the Chiappili huts that crosses on the final stretch a white road of service. Proceding up the Vassola valley, you leave behind the wooded area and encounter again for a while the rural road on path n. 324. Near the high pasture Vassola (1624 m), the valley becomes exclusively for hiking, and run into some characteristic alpine pastures (Balmot 1889 m, Rossa di Sotto 2093 m). On the way, you reach a small plateau where are the ruins of the mountain pasture Vailet (2233 m). Here you can stop, and divide the stage in two days, as a small bivouac recently built is there affordable. The itinerary continues westwards up to the lakes of Seone (2520 m) and shortly after, crosses Colle della Terra d’Unghiasse (2666 m), and passes near the group of the lakes d’Unghiasse (2492 m), Gran Lago di Unghiasse (the largest natural lake in the Lanzo valleys, 2490 m) and the Fertà lakes (2560 m). In correspondence with the latter, the route turns definitely southwest and ends at the connection with the AVC route that, instead, continues westwards and crosses the slope of Ceresole Reale. You continue downhill until encounter path n. 323, near Lake Lajetto with the mountain pasture of the same name (2298 m); then still downhill in the valley of Unghiasse to reach the characteristic Pian delle Riane (1790 m). In short, we approach the Bec di Mea, famous climbing wall of Val Grande, where the first section of the balcony path, track n. 322 leads first to Hamlet Alboni (1384 m) and then, downstream, to Hamlet Rivotti (1370 m) and finally to Hamlet Pialpetta (1070 m) where you find the GTA stop place and other accommodation facilities and services for tourists.
