ACCESS
From Biella cross Occhieppo Superiore, continue to Sordevolo
ITINERARY
Leave the car to follow the asphalt road, which then becomes a dirt road. Keep on the dirt road avoiding the first crossroad that leads to a farm, go down to meet a panel that indicates the start of the ferrata. (7-10 minutes from the car)
At this point a few meters along, there begins the path, it begins immediately passing under the stone bridge the old mule track to Bagneri.
Continue for a good while following the fixed ropes, for a first section of trail. Continue between steel cables and fixed ropes to reach the first rope bridge. Pass the bridge, follow the wires for the entire stretch and do not remove the sling when they end.
Continue along beautiful trail marked by cairns and yellow / green stamps. The equipped trail starts downhill, until you get back on the river bed, which you follow for a while, always between cables stamps and little men.
There are several routes of escape, in case of necessity, all indicated by obvious signs. After the second rope bridge, you enter the most beautiful part of the route, where the river runs through a narrow gorge, in a wild setting that is hard to describe. still a few hundred meters, another short of cables bridge (to the left of an old motorbike carcass) and it is at the end of the ferrata.
DESCENT
going back up the slope, on a very good path, you will come to an irrigation ditch, follow it until you reach a trail that climbs from Sordevolo (15-20 minutes), follow the signs to return to the start.
