This is a national Giant Slalom competition, also open to foreign athletes, which has been held on the Olympic slopes of Sestriere since 1981. There will be five categories competing on the slopes: Super Baby, Baby, Cuccioli, Ragazzi and Allievi, for both boys and girls. Now a traditional end-of-season event, the Uovo d'Oro Lauretana is an Easter event organised by the Sporting Club Sestrieres, which brings together most of Italy's competitive ski clubs for a full day of competitions and celebrations, attracting almost 5,500 people, including athletes and their companions, to Colle del Sestriere. In the recently concluded edition, over 2,000 athletes competed on the famous slopes of Sestriere, the venue for the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics and numerous editions of the World Cup. Over the years, the competition has become a cult event in the Alpine youth competition scene and is also considered a great end-of-season celebration. Everyone is a winner! All participants will receive the traditional chocolate egg along with a generous race pack. The event will reach its climax with the parade and official award ceremony, followed by the eagerly awaited prize draw, in which all competitors and their coaches will participate. The following Alpine Skiing courses are planned on the slopes of Monte Alpette: Giovanni Alberto Agnelli; Standard; Sises 2.
