The Torino City Marathon is an international competitive and non-competitive race of 42.195km, starting and finishing on 6 November 2022 in Piazza Castello.
The new circuit, which makes it the fastest technical route in Italia and also touches on Moncalieri and Nichelino, is a journey through the history of the city and our country, among monuments, squares and parks: Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the Gran Madre di Dio Church, the Vittorio Emanuele I Bridge, the Lungo Po, the Valentino Park (entering through the monumental Arch at the Artillery Weapon) with the Castle and the Medieval Village, the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge, the historic Mirafiori FIAT factory, Piazzetta Reale are just some of the passages that make this marathon unique. Without forgetting that at about the 4th km, the athletes will find themselves inside one of the sacred temples of two wheels but also of running: the Torino Motovelodrome “Fausto Coppi”, in 1932 the start and finish of the Italian Marathon Championship.
The same morning will also see the Torino City Run, a competitive and non-competitive 10km race that will give short-distance runners and keen walkers a chance to make the most of their passion. And which has a “subtitle” that tells a lot: it is the race that supports the Piemonte Foundation for Cancer Research in favour of the Candiolo Institute-IRCCS.
And the Torino City Marathon Village, open from Friday 4 afternoon to Sunday 6 morning, is also in line with the event’s theme: it is in fact housed in Carignano Palace, the historic seat of the Subalpine Parliament and the first parliament of the Kingdom of Italia.
In short, an opportunity to experience the city in complete safety (the route is entirely closed to traffic) by treating oneself to a day in the open air, sharing the Marathon celebration all together.
