From the Alpi Vailet the route continues west, climbing to the right until we reach the bottom of a rocky bastion, coasting it and then finally leaving it behind us on the right. We turn left at a junction (to the right the path leads to the Alpi del Seone 2398 m) and arrive at a small lake at 2943 m (not shown on the maps). We continue north-west towards the Seone Lakes which we then leave to the right. Turn left and, along a series of ledges, pass the rocky bastion that leads us to within sight of the hill. With a transverse that ascends slightly up a grassy slope where the track disappears (here you need to pay particular attention: EE) we reach the Colle della Terra d’Unghiasse 2633 m with its breath-taking view (1.5 hours from departure). From here, the route descends steeply to the Laghi d’Unghiasse 2648 m, coasts the southern bank, first arriving at Gran Lago 2494 m and then Lago Fertà 2557 m (1.5 hours from the Colle della Terra d’Unghiasse). From the lake, we climb to the Colle della Terra 2720 m, and then descend along the pathway, part of which is in decay but still visible and halfway up the hill we arrive at the Colle della Crocetta 2641 m which links the Lanzo Valleys with Orco Valley (2.5 hours from the Colle della Terra d'Unghiasse). To descend to Ceresole Reale, follow the GTA/Via Alpina route to Villa Poma 1584 m. We follow the southern bank of the Ceresole Lake until we reach the area called Villa. Ceresole offers a wide range of accommodations: hotels, campsites and refuges, including the Alpine Refuge Le Fonti Minerali (GTA Stage Post near the Fonti, once famous for the quality of its thermal waters) and the Mila Hiking Refuge both of which can be found near the route.
